Model Description
Iridium Aurora — is a wireless WiFi access point to the Iridium satellite network for marine, camping, hotel, and aviation industries. Using its own developed antenna, Aurora provides a Wi-Fi signal within a radius of up to 300 meters. Connected devices can access voice communication via standard SIP servers, send and receive email messages, and track their location using GPS.
This device is also excellent for use as a wireless Wi-Fi access point on ships: unlike competitors, Aurora comes with a ready-made solution that allows connecting to the Iridium network with just one click and without any settings. Other satellite kits can also provide this capability, but require pre-configuration of the modem and router, and not everyone can properly configure the equipment.
Aurora provides this opportunity but at a lower cost compared to other satellite kits.
Iridium Aurora can be connected to the Iridium Tracking service.
