SAILOR 150 FleetBroadband (FBB) marine satellite communication terminal. Provides stable voice communication and data transmission, both in motion and when the vessel is stationary. Manufactured by Thrane & Thrane (Cobham), whose quality is valued worldwide.
The terminal is quite compact and comes with a small antenna and is cheaper than analogues. Intended for use on vessels that do not need to transmit large volumes of data at high speeds. The Sailor 150 terminal replaces the already outdated Inmarsat mini-M and Fleet 33, having a lower cost it provides higher quality and stable communication with the ability to charge for used MB of data when using a permanent connection to the network.
The terminal design is well thought out, in the bottom of the antenna fairing there is a hatch for quick replacement or maintenance if necessary. The antenna unit can be installed at a distance of up to 70 meters from the transceiver. Antenna dimensions: height 291.9 mm, diameter 275.6 mm. Weight 3.9 kg.
Connection to the Inmarsat network occurs using user SIM cards. The terminal has a function for monitoring traffic consumption and restricting access. So, you can set IP addresses that are allowed, for example, using only email through the built-in firewall. Flexible settings allow you to avoid excessive overspending.
