Model Description

The Explorer 500 BGAN mobile satellite terminal provides reliable and high-quality communication even in extreme conditions, far from civilization. The terminal has an IP-54 protection rating, providing reliable protection against dust, moisture and minor impacts. The antenna is integrated into the terminal's body, making it compact and convenient to use. Ease of use is one of the advantages of the Explorer series terminals — no special knowledge is required for operation.

The functionality and capabilities of the terminal will satisfy the needs of the most demanding user for any purpose: corporate, rescue, tourism, etc. Compared to the Explorer 300 terminal, this model has more advanced connectivity options. The BGAN 500 can connect up to seven Thrane & Thrane Bluetooth handsets, a smartphone or personal computer, and a Bluetooth headset. You can also use a modem pool with Dial-Up connection, wireless LAN access, and serial port operation to connect to the internet.

The Inmarsat BGAN Explorer 500 terminal from Thrane & Thrane provides satellite communication at frequencies of 1525-1559 MHz for reception and from 1626.5 to 1660.5 MHz for transmission. The terminal is equipped with a GPS module operating at a frequency of 1575.42 MHz.

Internet access speed up to 464 kbps, email operation, fax messages, SMS support, and built-in GPS all in one Explorer 500 BGAN terminal from Thrane & Thrane.
