The new BGAN Explorer 510 satellite terminal from Cobham is designed for wireless satellite communication for work on land. The new application for smartphones based on Android and iOS, called Explorer Connect, combined with the Explorer 510 terminal will turn your smartphones into powerful satellite communication devices.
The presence of a USB port allows you to connect to the terminal by wire, and the optional Explorer LTE dongle USB stick allows you to switch to cellular networks when they are available and vice versa connect to the BGAN system when you are at the edge of the earth. The Explorer 510 provides voice communication of the highest quality and data exchange speeds up to 464 kbps.
The BGAN Explorer 510 is ideal for reporters, emergency response services, researchers, travelers and in principle for any activity related to travel and the need to transmit data, voice calls and access to the internet in field conditions. The terminal dimensions are approximately equal to a small netbook, the terminal is the smallest in the Explorer BGAN line and can easily replace older models. Dimensions: 200×200×50 mm and weight 1.3 kg.
The updated Explorer BGAN 510 has absorbed all the best from its predecessors, received an updated design and even higher quality and stable satellite communication.
