If your operator does not support dialing the Iridium international code +8816 — dial + 1 480 768 2500 and follow the system instructions. You will be asked to enter the Iridium subscriber number in tone mode, as well as the PIN code corresponding to the last four digits of the SIM card number.

To send SMS from an Iridium satellite phone, you need to configure the SMS center: Menu -> Messages -> Settings -> Service Center, enter the SMS center number: +881662900005.

Send an email from any e-mail address to the format [email protected], where 8816XXXXXXXX is the satellite phone number.

The maximum message length is 160 Latin characters. If the message size exceeds 160 characters, it will be truncated.

Check if the SIM card is inserted in the phone.
Make sure the antenna is fully extended and pointed at the sky. You should also be in an open area.
Try restarting the phone by turning it off and on.
If the phone still does not register, try manual registration.

When talking on an Iridium satellite phone, call time rounding occurs with precision up to 20 seconds, rounded up. Call billing starts from the moment the connection is established. Rounding: with precision up to 20 seconds, rounded up.

Units are consumed as follows: For example, a 500 min SIM card = 30,000 seconds = 30,000 units.
Call to any landline or mobile phone worldwide: 1 min (or 60 sec) = 60 units.
Call to another Iridium phone or voicemail: 1 min = 30 units.
Call to a satellite phone of another operator (Globalstar, Thuraya, Inmarsat, etc.): 1 min = 540 units.
Sending one SMS message: 30 units.
Data transmission: 1 min = 60 units.

Send an empty SMS message from the satellite phone to number +2888 or 002888.

Or dial "2888" from the satellite phone and listen to the balance information (in English).

The Iridium phone model 9575 has built-in navigation capabilities. Previous models do not have a GPS receiver (9555, 9505, etc.)
You can connect a computer to an Iridium satellite phone using a special adapter.
